Spanish Real Estate Market in Q1 2025: Alicante Leads Foreign Demand
According to the latest data from Registradores de España for Q1 2025:
📈 The average property price in Alicante province was 1.915 € per m², reflecting a strong annual increase of 10.8%. In comparison, the national average in Spain stood at 2.145 € /m² , with a year-on-year growth of 8.1%.
In terms of total home sales, Alicante ranked 3rd nationwide, with 13.689 property transactions in Q1 2025 - behind Madrid (21.411) and Barcelona (19.618).
Alicante continues to lead the country in foreign buyer share, with 43.7% of all property purchases in the province made by non-Spanish buyers. This places it ahead of Málaga (34.75%) and the Balearic Islands (30.03%).
Alicante, Costa Blanca, and the wider Valencian Community remain highly attractive to international investors thanks to their mild climate, Mediterranean lifestyle, coastal location, strong infrastructure, and excellent flight connections.
