Santa Pola is a lovely town by the sea in Alicante Province. It has a rich history, beautiful nature, and a true Mediterranean feel. The town has more than 13 kilometers of coastline with great beaches like Playa de Levante, Gran Playa, and Playa Tamarit. Whether you want to relax, try water sports, or visit quiet small beaches, Santa Pola has something for you.
The salt flats, called Salinas de Santa Pola, are an important part of the town. They are home to many birds like flamingos and other wildlife. Nearby, the cliffs of Cabo de Santa Pola have walking paths and amazing views of the sea.
Santa Pola’s history is easy to see. The Castillo Fortaleza, built in the 16th century, was made to protect against pirates.
