In 2024, the airport welcomed over 18.3 million passengers, marking a 16.8 percent increase from 2023 and a 39 percent rise compared to 2022. This impressive growth highlights the airport’s expanding reach and key role in the region’s connectivity.
The airport offers multiple daily low cost connections to cities all across Europe.
✈️ Top European airports connected to Alicante in 2024
• Manchester Airport (UK) with approximately 848.000 passengers
• London Gatwick Airport (UK) with around 737,000 passengers
• Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (Netherlands) with 519.000 passengers
• Brussels Airport (Belgium) with approximately 473.000 passengers
• Bristol Airport (UK) with about 464.000 passengers
Poland is one of the fastest growing markets. In 2024, 846.940 passengers traveled between Poland and Alicante, a 57 percent increase compared to the previous year.
It’s no longer just Ryanair, although they led with 7.47 million passengers in 2024. Alicante is now also a major base for easyJet, Vueling, Norwegian, Jet2, Eurowings and more.
📊 In the first quarter of 2025, 46 percent of all property transactions in Alicante province were made by international buyers, the highest share in Spain. The demand is being driven by buyers from the UK, Netherlands, Poland and Scandinavia.
