The climate that changes everything

I made the choice to live differently. Would you do the same if you had the chance?

Have you ever noticed how different you feel after a week in the sun? More energy, better sleep, a clearer mind. Now, imagine feeling that way every single day.

The climate we live in shapes our health, mood, and even outlook on life. In Northern Europe, long winters and months of grey skies leave many people in a constant cycle of waiting - waiting for summer, waiting for the next holiday, waiting to feel alive again.

I know this feeling well because I lived it for most of my life. Every year, I counted down the days until my next trip to the sun, only to return home and feel my energy slowly fade. Then, one day, I asked myself: Why wait? Why not live in a place where I can feel this good every day?

That’s why I chose Costa Blanca - with 320 days of sunshine a year, mild temperatures, and fresh sea air, life here is simply different. Alicante and Murcia, the cities I live between, are among the top three sunniest cities in Europe, averaging 349 hours of sunshine per month. Catania, Italy, holds second place, making the Mediterranean one of the best regions for year-round sunshine. Waking up to blue skies isn’t a luxury - it’s just another day.

And the best part? The benefits go far beyond just feeling good in the moment:

✔️ Daily sun exposure boosts vitamin D, strengthening bones, improving mental well-being, and supporting the immune system.

✔️ A warmer climate reduces stress on the body, leading to lower rates of heart disease and chronic illnesses.

✔️ An outdoor lifestyle keeps people active and socially connected - one reason why Spain has one of the highest life expectancies in the world (around 84 years, compared to 81 in Germany, 80 in the UK, and 78 in Poland).

Many people spend their lives waiting for a break, counting down the weeks until they can escape to the sun. But what if you didn’t have to wait? What if this sense of energy and well-being wasn’t just a holiday experience - but your everyday life?

I made the choice to live differently. If you had the chance, would you do the same?
